Just recencly my mouse just suddendly can't move to the right. The pointer is always bound to the left side. I can move up, down and left...but never right. I had to make due with the tab functions...but it quite difficult to use in many sites thus making it incovenient. Is there any way to fix the mouse?

That usually means it has lint, dust, dandruff, and hairs caught up in the moving parts.

Flip it over and see the little round hatch on the bottom. Stick your nails in the edges of that and twist it off counter clockwise. Take off the loosened cover and the ball inside. Wipe them both off with a damp cloth. Now look at two rollers (usually black plastic rods) and notice that they have crud wrapped around them. Scrape it loose with a toothpick or finger nail on both of them and then wipe with a damp cloth. Now put it together again and twist clockwise. All should be well again. Do that periodically and avoid the problems (or buy a laser mouse with no moving parts).

I have an icon on my desktop for my mouse. I can click on it & check the settings & reset them. This icon appeared when I downloaded the cd that came with the mouse & then attached the mouse to the computer. See if you can do this with your mouse. If not, then sic the cat on it & get a new mouse.

How long have you been using it?

You need to open it and clean inside. Dust is the number one enemy to most computer/electronic items. Taht's one possibility. There could be something blocking the roller track to move right.

If you open it though, you would void the warranty if there is still.

If it is a cheap one, get a new one, that's my advice.
