has anyone bought a h.i.s radeon x1300 (256mb) from overclockers.co.uk
i cant belive they can sell a card with a 600mhz core clock and a memory clock of 800mhz for only £61
ok its only got 4 pixel pipelines ,but the card is a beast of a card with a massive fan built into a case that takes up 2 slots
i currently have a nvidia 6600 a.g.p ,is it worth buying this card?

The copmputer is not reading the battery at all even when plugged in. The battery icon only shows an "x". Also - when I turn the computer upside down and depress the buttons on the battery, the light flashes green and then goes off quickly.

well just a while back (appro. 2 months) i was on my pc and as usual i turned it off from the power button at the front. the lazy person that i am i did this many times before and nothing happened. well i pressed the power butto and the pc shut off but the fan and my led usb mouse kept running. i tried turning it on again and it wouldnt turn on. well then i bought a new motherboard to see if that resolved the problem. iput it into the pc myself with the help of a friend and the same thing happened. it didnt turn on when i pressed the power button. does anyone know what is wrong? is there a problem with my cpu?

my computer have a lot of local and network drivers which used all the drive letters. When I plug in a usb flash memory stick, I heard the system recognizes new hardware, but there is no additional drive appears to be relate to my flah memory stick?

Any way to solve this problem w/o deleting my current drive settings?

Our hard drive on our other computer crashed and gave all our gigs back, but that's what he thinks. We didn't have but 2 gigs on it anyways:P. But now he wants the other one to "crash", but I don't want to do it until the other one "crashed" because of shortage of gigs. What should I do?

I have a OLD PC that use to work. I was going to set it up for my 7 year old daughter to use. Plugged it in and turned it on. I get nothing on the screen and the key board lights are out. When I turn it one the keyboard lights blink once only and thats it. Any ideas. Not really in the budget to go by a PC for a 7 year old right now. ITS A p3 550, 40 gig hard drive. Before I put it up, I had just put XP on it and also a new hard drive. It was working fine.

Ok --

My windows xp dell system will not start up because something randomly happened to "hal.dll" -- i get an error when trying to start the computer, it says that hal.dll is missing or corrupt. I have tried those things that are suggested when you google "hal.dll" so please dont try to research for me..
What i want to do, is put the master hard drive with windows xp home for my Other computer into my broken one -- the only problem is, the hard drive for my new computer has a diferent cable that connects to the hard drive -- its not the ribbon cables, its something newer. I do have ribbon cable sockets though, my DVD drive uses one.
Can i plug the hard drive from the old computer with an operating system on it into the ribbon cable socket in my new computer, and have my computer boot from that?

Or will that just be bad because the old computer has lots of diferent hardware that the operating system from the old computer would not know what is going on and stuff. thanks

I put a DVD in my laptop. It wouldn't play. I tried to eject it and the tray pops open barely but I can't pull it open the rest of the way. It releases but it's like something inside is holding it so I don't want to pull too hard and break it. Does anyone know what I can do to resolve this? Any help is much appreciated. I also tried the manual eject hole and still the same problem.

My home desktop computer's monitor is taking forever to display. The computer is on and is off hibernate mode, but the monitor is very, very slow to react, taking 5 -15 min or more to display after I move the mouse around. Once working, the screen display is crystal clear and without problems. I've tried changing the power scheme on the screen saver but that doesn't have an effect. The monitor is a MAG platinum series flat screen and is about 4 years old. How long should a monitor last?
