I mean right now its like 3.0 Ghz is it going to be like 60 GHz

It's all relative when you think about it. 233 mhz used to be the bomb but sofware caught up with greater computing power.

What you will see is hard drives that are entirely made up of flash memory. That will speed up data access times by 100 fold.

I'd expect a Teraquade processor with a new component that will not use silicone but something else that's not yet widly known yet.

How about Holography? That's coming too.

Who knows what might happen! Those of us who have worked in data processing for decades are amazed at all of the fancy new stuff that was considered science fiction twenty or thirty years ago. There is a possibility that you will be using 60 GHz in five years.

That question is probably directly proportional to Moores law.

You could possibly make a theoretical prediction by comparing the speeds at which processors have evolved.

There are other factors to consider, such as parallel processing or multiprocessors, where you can have multiple processors that combine to similate a faster processor, like today's Intel Duo Core.

they say that there is a limit on speed and it will be reached in ten years, but that was for single core cpu's ,as far as speed goes in ten years we will be far ahead of 60 ghz ,it will be more like 600ghz.
