I would check the power source first, you might have a short in it.

Does it show any error messages even for a second?
Since when do you have this problem? Have you installed any new software recently ? If so then you have to restart your computer in safe mode (you didn`t say whether you have windows or other os). If you have windows you can start the computer in safe mode by pressing repeatedly F8 button right after turning on your PC. You`ll get a list and you need to select SAFE MODE. your PC will start now but only with minimum functionality. You need to remove the program that you installed. After that you can restart normally. It should work.

If you haven`t installed any new SW or drivers then the problem might be with your bios settings. Usually computers shut down when having a hardware problem (ex. overheating). You should check if the fans in your PC work as they should. Hope this helps.

You have a virus (probably). When you're booting up go into the "safe mode" right away. If you have any anti-virus software you should run a scan from there.
Hopefully, you do have ant-virus software. If you don't, you may be able to get on-line from safe mode (I'm not sure) and go to a website like "Avast" or"PC Tools" or something and get a free check-up.
If you can't get on the Internet to downland you may have to buy some software.
Good luck.

This happened to me when I had a virus. My friend had to come over and completely wipe my hard drive then reformat it. It was not a pleasant experience, but my computer works fine now. And I installed a better anti virus program. Good luck.
