Use a soft cloth (like a tee shirt) and some alcohol (use 91% alcohol and NOT rubbing alcohol). Put the alcohol on the cloth first (do not put it on the screen first) and wipe dry.

You can use a wet soft cloth. Then dry it with a dry cloth. there is a protective coating that blocks UV rays built into the monitor screen. The only thing recommended by every tech is a non amonia glass cleaner. Do not use Windex as it contains ammonia that will ruin the coating.
The best thing to use is a product especially made for computer monitor glass

if its a crt... ijust use windex and a cloth

but for lcd, they have special solutions at computers storesd and maybe even walmart for that
