has anyone bought a h.i.s radeon x1300 (256mb) from overclockers.co.uk
i cant belive they can sell a card with a 600mhz core clock and a memory clock of 800mhz for only £61
ok its only got 4 pixel pipelines ,but the card is a beast of a card with a massive fan built into a case that takes up 2 slots
i currently have a nvidia 6600 a.g.p ,is it worth buying this card?
cheers

the x1300 is a decent card and 600mhz core clock is not extremely high.
btw £61 = $120 US what isn't that cheap. you better stay with your geforce 6600 because you wouldn't notice a big difference. it's simply not worth to spend the money.

if you want a noticeably upgrade you should consider to get an ATI X1650XT256 AGP. this one is worth the money because it has 24 pixel pipelines, 600mhz core clock, 1400mhz memory clock and 256mb GDDR3 memory and isn't that more expensive ($170 US). ok, you're obviously in the UK where computer parts are considerably more expensive than in the US.

Have to agree with previous comment about not being worth it. The X1300 is the lowest in the X1000 range ATI do and will not really give you any significant benefits, I bought a 6600GT from eBay for £40 the other day and it is faster than this X1300 you are looking at.

Either save your money for a X1650, 7600GT or something similar, if you can't see anything check places like eBay as there are always people out there paying a fortune to be on the bleeding edge of technology and you can pick up their previous cards for a song.
