Go to restore, not recovery, and set a point before you had the problem.
Press and hold the start key. Located in the bottom left of keyboard, next to the Ctrl key.
So press START and then press u at same time and see if onboard keyboard M works. If it works then the OS is ok.
Then prod the key M out with a finger file or whatever. See if you do not have food (like I did, it was a peanut) stuck underneath it.

hmmmm, a baffling problem I've not heard of before. I wouldn't know what to suggest to actually stop the problem but I have an idea for what you could try if you REALLY NEED lower case "m"s...eg if you were typing an official letter or need it for a case sensitive password.
If it was me, I would hit CAPS LOCK just before typing the M, then hold down shift, type M....in theory you should then get a lower case 'm'
(as the shift key has the opposite effect when you have caps lock on; ie: holding shift when caps lock is on gives lower case letters)

If the restore methoed doesn't work, try going into yahoo groups/computers.You may find an answer there. It might be as simple as popping out that key and popping it back in. I'm not sure on that though
