I have two hardrives running and im not sure where two wires are supposed to go, they look like the wires you hook up to a fan, little black and red wires with small black clip on the end, it was booting up fine, then it came unpluged and now it wont boot....? any suggestions?

I recently got a HP2410 photosmart all-in-one. I did not get a CD with it to install the scanner drive and when i went to HP.com and tried downloading the software it kept messing up. Does any one know where or how i should download this software?

I'm looking to buy a new (desktop) computer and don't really know where to start. I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick with a PC and not a Mac (sorry Apple lovers). I also have a friend who has offered to build me a computer if I'd buy the parts, but this worries me a little, having no warranty, no ways to guarantee fixes, etc... I'm no computer expert and neither is he (he built his own computer however).

I frequently use programs like Adobe Photoshop, and also play games (so a good amount of RAM and a pretty decent graphics card is a must), and other than that I just use the internet, IM programs, etc.

Any and all tips would be much appreciated, from things I should be looking for in my computer to specific brands and models I should check out.

its actually really annoying i use microsoft scanner and camera wizard to scan but then i start and when the percentage completed page comes up this is what it says: The wizard did not succesfully complete copying your pictures because the progress was cancelled .AND I DIDNT CANCELL IT.Cna someone tell me hoe to fix it or is there a different programm that can scan pictures that i can download FOR FREE

I have been going to costco for about 2 to 3 years and they always had a laptop from acer. Its not always the same latop. Once it was PM then something else and know a duo. When vista will come out will they have a vista laptop from acer because they always had acers.

I'm looking for a new power supply for my HP computer to power a hungry graphics card such as the Nvidia 7950GX2. On Nvidia's page, they recommend:

"The minimum recommended power supply for a single GeForce 7950 GX2 is 400W (with 12V current rating of 27A)."

The 500w power supply that I am looking at has dual 12v rails - one 12v rail has 17amps, the other has 19amps. Here are the specs:
"+3.3V@32A, +5V@35A, +12V1@17A, +12V2@19A, -12V@0.3A, +5VSB@2A" from http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103937#spec

When a graphics card requires 27amps from the 12v rail, does the amperage all need to be on ONE rail? Or is it ok to combine the total amperage of multiple rails (19amp + 17amp = 36 amp 12v rail)?

I've heard people say the tablet feature is nice. I looked on Dell's website but could not find anything about that. Also, I would like to stay away from Macs simply because the colleges I attend /will be attending for med school is offering software to use on Windows, and also because I prefer PCs over Macs. I downloaded a Windows Vista RC1 from the internet.. I know that the beta testing is over now but I want to know something. If I install this Vista RC1 on my computer and then suddenly change my mind to buy the genuine one and uninstall the RC1. Can I uninstall the RC1 like any other programs??

Hi Friend, I have purchase one Laptop (Lenovo N100) two months ago. I do not know some features about my Laptop. Please answer my doubts or questions. 1 : My Laptop have one S-Video Socket on back side. It also have one socket for vga cable of Monitor. I am able to run my laptop display on external monitor But I can not used that S-Video Socket. I have joined my t.v turner card's S-Video socket of my computer to that socket with help of cable. But, It did not done anything. Does anybody know function of that S-Video Socket. I want to display tv channels of my laptop using S-Video. Does it will works? I know about USB TV Turner cards. But I will try about it later. 2 : My laptop have facility of wireless blue tool. I have one mobile (Nokia 3250) which have facility of blue tool. I can connect my mobile using Blue tool to my desktop computer using external blue tool devices. But, My laptop do not detect mobiles through blue tools facility. Does anybody know about using inbuilt bluetool.
