You can, if it's an apple, you can take it to the apple store and they'll do it for you. Otherwise, you'll want to take it to Geek squad or something like that.

Yes you can, I assume your not a computer expert, so my oppinion is get someone who knows computer hardware VERY WELL and then tell that person what you want to do. The way it'll actually work is that the Hardrive will be ripped from the old comp then the send and recieve pins will be realligned so it is sutiable for an external cable, then a plastic case will cover it with a power adapter hole and a exetrneal send/recieve port.

Yeah, you probably can.

But...

If your old computer is old and slow and has a small hard disk, limited point in it. Sell your old computer, buy a new disk from a dealer and use that instead. And perhaps save some money.

If you have to ask how to do it, it's too compex to explain step-by-step so take it to a shop to have a second hard disk installed. Tell them you want it as a backup device.

There are too many variables to give you a one-answer-fits-every-computer answer for this.

YES you can. Just fix it in your new PC, but before fixing make it as slave. You will find this selection at the back side of hard drive on left hand side, you will see series of pins and small adaptor(cap) wihch is fixed there on extreme left. Remove it and put it back on the pins where you see "slave". Now insert this drive into your new PC below your main haed drive and power it up. Start your computer and you will see a drive is added to your "My Computer". Good Luck.
