every time i try to print it says the status is waiting on documents and nothing else pops up help please

I am trying to save some $$$. Certainly it would be better to buy a new one.

Anyway, I would like to buy a second hand notebook with a warranty. I would prefer buying an Apple, but would consider a PC.
Also, I would like the notebook to be no more than a few years old.

Perhaps you can provide a link to a site.

have an old pc, hard drive has no partition on it. have win98 startup disk , green light on floppy drive flashes and tries to read but then just hangs. have tried 3 different floppies but still no good.
want to install win98 again. tried floppies in another pc and ok.

Hi there everyone!
I've noticed that lately, while I am listening to my mp3 files (no matter what player), while my computer accesses the Hard Drive, there's this noise, quite noticeable. Also, I've noticed a lag on my PC's response to many commands.
I'm worried, because I don't know where this problem arises. Might as well be anywhere, but I suspect the HD unit which is more or less a recent model -say I bought it bout 1 year ago-, the sound card (less probable) or even my microprocessor. Processor: AMD athlon 1.39 GHz 5 years old.
Does someone have an explanation to this?

i bought a lcd monitor and since hooking it up my burn speed for nero has slowed right down my older monitor didnt seem to have this affect could it be my new monitor ?

I own a 2002 Compaq Presario (not sure what model, my dad bought it for me at a Mega-one-stop shopping center for $200, so it's a bit crap. Only reason it lasted this long was I had the Geek Squad trip it out six months after my dad gave it to me) that currently has a AMD Athlon XP 2200+ processor in it (I'm not sure about the motherboard). A few years ago I updated the video card to a Raedon 9800 and added more RAM to it. Recently the computer has been crashing, freezing and stalling like an S.O.B. and a friend of mind suggested upgrading the motherboard/processor. I will more than likely have to update the power supply and cooling system as well, but what are some good motherboard/processor drives out there, average prices and quality. Thanks in advance.

The black screen doesn't go away, and my computer lights still blink as if it's on. It only happens sometimes, and I was able to get rid of the screen if I closed my laptop forcefully. Now, nothing works. It's not really that big a deal, but it's bothersome since I always have to restart it whenever I wake up in the morning.

I have a Dell laptop, though .. I don't know anything else specific (my brother picked it out for me).

My PC is outdated and parts are begining to fail so its time to upgrade. Ive been using AMD but since im changing just about everything in my case i want to try the new intel chip. Ok so i have a dell xps laptop and its veryyy slow and it has alot of pop ups, and it freezes. My uncle said that it has alot of spyware on it and viruses. He told me to get a system recovery CD? I don't really know what that is. Where can i get one from? And will it help out with my problem?

clicking very quickly (like an online game or something) I'll end up closing my application - it's like I'm in the middle of a game, clicking something, and the next thing I know, almost in mid-click, the cursor's moved up to the x - and I'm not moving it there. This is for the last person who posted on this question before.Um before you start judging,i recieved the cpu in the "dusty" condition it was in.And reseating things DOES work if something came loose.And im sorry but my cpu does not have a "memory card problem" because it does not have one.And if it did i assure you that would have nothing to do with the problem at hand,lol.FYI,i went to bios manufacturer website and it told me about every beep except 3 BEEPS in a row.Thats why i asked the queston,DUH...Why dont yo find something better to do then bash people because of the way they communicate.

the problem is that when i put a blank cd in my pc's drive it wont recognize it. and i try to go to my pc then dvd drive it says "the cd is corrupted or is using a format windows cant read" but the cd is new (blank)! and when i put a burned cd in ti (with something in it ) it reads it like normal...can somebody help me please?

I bought my mouse last week with 20USD and now every time I start the computer the mouse does not work anymore unless I unplug it from the USB port ang again reconnect. Why is that? I have directly connected it to my CPU without any HUB.
