It should have come with your laptop.
If you can't find it anywhere, call Dell's Tech Support (Good Luck Understanding outsourced dialects.) and see if you can get them to send you one.

You may also want to goto Dell's site and search for soemthing like lost recovery disk. Maybe they have soemthing online to help.

In the meantime, download Lavasoft Ad-aware to search your pc and get rid of spyware. For the viruses, you may want to invest in a virus scanner.

ALthough I haven't seen it catch anything, you can also go to Microsoft's site and then home pc's for Window's Defender - Spyware protection for free.

You shouldn't need a recovery CD. Dell laptops now a day come with an special partition to recover all your programs as the first day you got your computer. If you do it be sure to backup all your data because it will be done after the process. Check your laptop's manual on how to start the recovery process. It should be something like restart and press some key right when it's starting (the big DELL black screen)

Call Dell customer support and order the recovery CD. It'll cost you a few bucks. The CD reinstalls Windows onto the laptop.

If you don't install a virus scan/firewall/spyware program and keep it updated and if you don't scan every single file you download for viruses BEFORE you open it or play it THEN you might as well just go ahead and throw your laptop in the trash! I scan everything! I download. I haven't had a virus or any adware, spyware OR popups in over 4 years! It's just like wearing your seatbelt... once you get used to it, it is second nature. But if you decide you're too lazy to scan your files when you download them, then be prepared for the headaches you're just now seeing the begining of... good luck though! :-)

the System Recovery CD comes with the laptop when you bought it. If you don't have this, ask Dell how can you get one

Check in the box or bag the laptop came in, possibly the CD could be in the manual for the laptop, if you have any of those things.
