I think I understand and what the other answers over look. You cannot select it as the default in IE6 Programs because it is not there. Here is the link to Yahoo mail that sets the active x control. I have not tried it, but it gives step by step instructions on how to do what you are looking for.

I think you would be better off to download the free Firefox browser. You will like the way it handles downloads and will fill in the blanks you so frequently encounter on web pages. Go to www.mozilla.com and download Firefox 1.5 version. Then you will have to designate your favorite web page by (1) Move the mouse pointer to the Tools tab at the top of the page. (2) Left click on Tools and a menu will drop down. Move your pointer to the bottom of that menu and left click on Options. A new menu will appear. (3) left click on the General tab. A choice of Home Page appears. fill in that line with http://www.yahoo.com then move the pointer to the bottom and left click on O.K. Now, every time you open the Firefox browser, it will give you the Yahoo.com page.
