My computer is beige and it has a few blinking red lights on the front of it. The red lights weren't there before. How can I fix it? I can't even see "Windows" on it anymore.

I want to get rid of all the programs on it and just have what was on the computer when I got it new. With my old HP I could just do a full recovery on it and it would clean the computer and reinstall everything that came with it. I now have a Gateway Media Center that doesn't have that on it. If I boot from the DVD that came with it, will it reinstall everything, including all the stuff that was loaded to work the Media Center.

I bought my pc two months ago, and every two weeks the os crashes, in the beginning , I had an error [ dump physical memory ] .. and few days after that ... the pc won't reach the windows xp welcome screen ,every time the pc restarts after giving the windows xp black screen and a quick blue screen after that ..
I though the problem might be because of the harddisk .. what do you think ? Please help ...

My computer has a drive that is called DVD-RW Drive (D:). Am I still able to burn music CD's although its called a DVD-RW drive? Whenever I put a blank CD-R in the drive, the computer tells me to insert a cd into the drive although there is one already in it. I wanna burn a CD, not a DVD. What is going on? This computer is a DELL.

can i somehow change my graphics card name to some other manufacturer?

like right now i have INTEL 82845G GRAPHICS CONTROLLER
so i want that it changes to some other model or manufacturer like NVIDIA 7800 or ATI RADEON by the use of some software

I BASICALLY WANT THIS TWEAK TO BE DONE BECAUSE SOME GAMES DO NOT RUN WITH MY CURRNT GRAPHICS CARD

I am getting a new computer. I read that to transfer my files from my old computer I need to link the two computers with a null modem serial cable, which plugs into the COM port. I can't find a COM port. My laptop has a phone jack, an ethernet port, a monitor port, and a serial port, as well as USB ports and pc card slots.
