DON'T Go Inside Your Monitor as previously suggested above. That is very dangerous, high electrocution voltages are possible. Take to a qualified service technician if you need to go inside.

Meanwhile as for your question: have you set any settings using you video card software? If so you may have clicked an over-ride check box to lock all settings so as to keep them as they are set.

Just a thought, an nVidia card I had was like that if I didn't adjust it just right and pay attention, it would auto select the lock settings box and then I couldn't adjust anything.

ur monitor has a internal memory all u need is to reset the jumper inside the monitor (u can also try using software to make enable ur monitor keys)

hey man......
just throw away the monitor and CPU if it is old and go for the sleek monitors that are now avialble at cheap prices
