I have the volume control on the computer turned all the way up, but my speakers don't have external volume control. I can barely hear any sound from the computer. Is there a piece of software that can "amplify" the sound coming from the line out port so that my speakers will be loud enough?

i dont know what the hell is going on with my laptop but everytime i hite the r key it types wr when i hit V it comes up as xv and some of the numbers wont type in either. when i got 5 it loads up my browser???


i know it sounds crazy but its happening...

anyone have any advice?

I have a SB Audigy 2 ZS and when i hook my headphones into the sound card, the sound doesnt go through the headphone. But the mic still works. Can someone please tell me how to transfer the sound into my headphones?

I get them whenever I insert a cd, plug in a usb/firewire device, or anything removable. The exact error is:

Windows - Drive Not Ready
The drive is not ready for use; it's door mat be open. Please check drive and make sure that a disk is inserted and that the drive door is closed
Cancel Try Again Continue

It will go away if I press cancel about 10 times, but it's very annoying, and pops up randomly. Everyhting works fine, the drive doors are closed. Anyone know how to get rid of 'em?

Specs
Ram: 512 MB
CPU: 2.80 GHZ
CPU TYPE:INTEL CELORON[Yes i know it sucks dont cry]
HDD: 80 GigaBytes

And an IBM
Specs
64 MB of ram
CPU: 355 MHZ
CPU TYPE: INTEL PENTIUM 2 {Know is this computer pretty much useless or what :P}

I have an HP Laserjet 1100 that feeds from above. For some reason, I must feed one page at a time or it gets jammed. Someone said it might be a setting within the software. Anyone have this problem or know the solution? Thanks.

I have tried using the back-up wizard and tick "save all info on this computer". I then get a message that says "The files for the recovery diskette could not be created. The operation was aborted". I don't know why I get this messsage.

I recently upgraded to DDR2 but I refuse to settle for 533 or 600mhz. So my plan is to get 800mhz RAM 1 GB at a time but its hard to find anyone who is selling it. Does anyone know any large suppliers of DDR2?

I am terribly in need of a new laptop and I would like to get advise where to buy and what to pay.
