Can sempron processors run 64 bit version of Windows XP professional?

The sempron is a 32 bit proccessor and won't be able to run the 64 bit operating system. To take full advantage of the 64 bit OS, you need somehtin like the AMD Athlon 64 or something better than that. Now even Intel's out with their 64 bit proccessors !! You could go for those..
But unfortunatly an upgrade of the processor like that would mean you would need to change your motherboard..

Both Sempron and Athlon XP support 32 bit Windows OS. You will need a AMD Athlon 64 ( or Turion for a laptop) cpu to support 64 bit Windows XP.

cant only 32 bit processor
if ur looking for dual processor then buy new desktop
