i switched my girlfriend's laptop from cable net connection to wireless! victory it worked....! whoo hoo... (short lived)

three hours later, the power pack keeps failing. the computer keeps freezing and requiring forced shutdown. then an hour after that the power pack fades from power completely... no more laptop power.

how is this possible?

its asking the regional settings is not maching with the DVDs regional settings? how can i change the regional settings for DVD in my "Dell" laptop?

Running WinXP MCE on new Sony Vaio XL-100 connected to an old Panasonic 42" plasma via Component cables - when I try to reduce the screen res on the Vaio (using the usual desktop control panel) it simply shrinks the desktop into the middle of the plasma rather than expanding it to fill the screen and give me larger text, icons etc. This did not happen with old HP m1180 MCE PC that I used to have connected to the same plasma via VGA. Any thoughts? Many thanks.

I have a CanoScan Lide 60 and I leave my computer on 24/7. Do I need to plug the scanner out at a certain time in order to prevent over heating or do I just leave it plugged into my USB Port?

When I go into Capture in VideoWave 8, it doesn't show my JVC MiniDV Video Camera listed, there are actually no options to work with. I have my MiniDV Video Camera hooked up to my computer via USB cable. Does anyone know what I need to do to get this to work? I'd like to upload my videos to Youtube.com. I would have used Windows Movie Maker, but it requires Windows XP, and I have Windows 2000, so therefore I had to go with Roxio VideoWave 8. Can someone please help? Thank you very much.

I have a dell dimension b110 with xp home. what would happen if i installed media center on it? i know media center needs "special hardware" to run correctly, but would my computer still run it? my computer has 1.5gb of ram, 160gb hard drive, 2.53GHz celeron D.

I've got an Epson Photo Stylus printer. I know that there is a nozzle cleaning utility & I've used it successfully. But after the surface ink gets really old and crusty, the utility does NOT work very well & wastes a great deal of ink.

Has anyone tried applying isopropyl alcohol or other solvent to the nozzles?
