Free memory Tester. Good Luck

First check your BIOS.... did you modify any parameter in the memory config? else put everything by default or automatic.

Second, still in your BIOS disable the Quick Memory Test or Quick Start (the exact name is different in each BIOS, check your BIOS documentation).
When the computer starts it should test all the memory installed.

Third, check that your memory modules are well plugged into their ports. Press firmly on both end of each module.

Fourth, try to switch your memory modules in your computer. Use the same ports, but just switch the modules. (may happen if you more than one module from different brand or model).

Fifth, try to plug the memory(ies) into another empty ports.

www.memtest86.com is a good sotware to test your system memory. It may detect a defective part.

How much ram do you have,you should be running at least 512mb.
