It is okay to delete them. Should you have any reason to use them later, you can easily re-create them.

Yes, they are just shortcuts. If you want to get them back, go into the program's folder and copy the exe. If you want to completely get rid of the program go to the add/remove program. Removing unecessary programs such as free aol will give you more disk space.

then u should go to control panel and add delete programs and remove any program that says like earthlink, aol, free internet
they take up space and u will probably never use them

Most computers come with pre loaded software. These are just offers from these company's to get you to sign up with them. It came on my dell desktop and i deleted them right away.

I guess if you dont use them you should, but it dependson if you want to delete the shortcut only or the whole program.
When you drag it to the recycle bin it'll tell you if you want to remove the program you have to do it on add or remove program.

You can run Desktop Cleanup Wizard...That will place all your unnecessary desktop items in a folder, so that you can access it when you require it...This way you can clean your desktop and keep things accessible when you need it...
