I have bought new computer but my broadband provide have no update CD or modem to install broadband on windons "Vista". also I ask other broadband provide , I had some answer. please tell that I shold do?

My problem is something like this. I shared a folder called WORK. Inside the work folder there are 2 more folders called OFFICE and HOME. When I try to access the WORK folder I can get in to see the OFFICE AND HOME folder. The problem is I can't access the OFFICE AND HOME folder. I want to get the files inside. How do I do a one time setting to share the folder and all sub folders inside it

Hoping some-one can help.
every time i try to connect to my msn it comes up progamme has to close and just shuts it self down,i have recently installed the new vista it seems to be since then the problem has started.

All my PC's are running XP. Originally I had all four computers wired into my router and the workgroup networking function worked fine ( I could share files/printers.) Recently I converted my laptop from wired to wireless...(same router). It functions fine in all respects except I cannot get it "join" the same workgroup as the other "wired" computers. (It was able to do so when it was "wired"). Am I missing something?

I have a C2D MBP with the newly activated wireless card draft-n. I hear that they might go ahead with the final draft of n and that somehow this would be different than what I currently have. Is this the case? Will I not have access to the n signal since I am using an 'older' version? What about the newly released AirPort Extreme?

I have a belkin f5d7010 and a dell inspirion 8000 laptop the card will connect to the router i am pinging off of but when i hit my explorer icon it will not connect. i get a DNS error.; Also on my belkin main screen there is a red spot to the router pic then to the next after that. I do not have any internet provider loaded is this why. I was told i did not need to have an isp on there. please can someone help

hey i have a this dlink router and it doesn't reach my laptop in my room which is using a usb wifi adapter thing..so i have to trail the usb adapter using these little extension cordes out on the landing..so it's not wireless..so i need a new anntena for my router..and my baby brother snaped it today so it wont stay in place..any ideas of the right anntena..this would be a great help if someone gave me an answer..i live in the uk btw thanks!!

My laptop will not pick up the wireless at my house. It shows that it has the signal and our desktop is working, but when I connect (or better yet try to) It says "Not Connected"!!! This is so frustrating!!! My computer has done this before, but I forgot how I fixed it last time, Please Help! Thanks!!

I buy a connection with 2048 kbit. in internet speed. But when running the speed test it says only 1723 kbit.
Is it fair that I should pay full price when I recieve 15% less in speed.

I have telewest broadband which is cable internet. Basically, my brother wants the internet on his pc in his room too. The guy who instaled our internet said we just need a long ethernet cable running from my computer to his computer. The problem i have though, is that i only have one ethernet port in the back of my pc, which is being occupied by my ethernet cable (which is running from my modem). So how can i have a cable running from my pc to my brothers? Is there some kind of adapter type thing or thing with 2 hubs/ports were i would put my ethernet cable in and have one running from that to my brother computer? Please Help. Thanks

I have a 1701 HG modem that is running a computer about 60 feet away. Because of the construction of my building, I need some kind of signal booster to make the wi-fi stronger. Hi. I'm trying to port foward 3389 on my router. I've did everything correctly, but when I go to www.canyouseeme.org to test and see if it was successful, the connection times out, meaning the port wasn't open. Can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong. I'm sure i've got the settings right on the router. thanks.
