Hello,

Since Vista is really, in my opinion, not that good, I wish to install XP. I have the XP software. I also have a recovery disk of my computer (Toshiba A-200 AH6). It would be really nice if someone could tell me how I must proceed to install successfully XP. I have already put all my documents in an external hard drive. Thank you guys!

Below is some information about my computer that I got off of (www. systemrequirementslab .com /referrer /srtest). The site said that my video card can't play the game but my mother's old computer can. Can I take the video card from her old computer and put it into my laptop, which is an HP Pavilion dv6000? Her video card is a 128 MB DDR ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (RADEON 9800 AGP (0x4E48)) and her old computer is a Dell Dimension 4600.

Current Video Card: Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family

Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium (Build 6000)

CPU: 2 processors running - Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T5500 @ 1.66GHz

CPU Speed: 1.66 GHz Performance Rated at 3.24 GHz

System RAM: 2.0 GB

In short I want to know if I can take the video card out of my mother's computer and put it into my laptop. Can I do it myself or should I pay someone and how much would that cost? Can I also take out the RAM, CPU, or other componets and put them in my laptop?

Thank you for reading.

My Hubby promised my little girl 20bucks one day, and we didn't have it. Sooo, I tried to make some play money printed on thicker paper in the printer. Now, the only way I can copy or scan something is if I tape it to sturdier paper to force it to go through the feed. I know, I know. I messed up. I'm wondering now if there is an adjustment to tighten the paper feed somehow?

My husband's computer will not start all the way-- it will stay on the startup screen with the little thinking icon. It is a Mac G5. He says that the last time his computer worked any softwear that he had running shut down unexpectantly, like it had a virus. Any suggestions on how we can fix this problem or are we going to have to take it somewhere to get it fixed? Thanks for the help!

I remember seeing a TV show it said that about 60% of women in chat rooms or games (like World of Warcraft) (or possibly even here in Yahoo answers are men acting like women)

(but exclude those sites like myspace)

I have a 3 year old Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook computer with a beautiful 15.4" WUXGA screen (1920x1200 resolution ). The computer itself is getting rather old and slow so I'm looking for a new machine.

The problem is, I can't seem too find any new notebook computers that have such good resolution at a 15.4" screen. I don't want to bump up to a 17" screen because those computers get to big to move around! I've looked at Dell, Lenovo, and Sony so far, and all of their 15.4" screens seem to top out at 1680x1050 resolution - and even this resolution is uncommonly high and expensive.

I find it so strange that 3 years after I bought this one, I can't find a screen with as good resolution as my current one! Aren't computers supposed to improve fast? Am I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks!

It's asking for the incoming mail (pop3) and outcoming mail (smtp). Where can I find it listed in my old e-mail? I've done this before, but I forgot. Isn't there some place where I can look it up in my old email? I'm not really that computer savvy, but if you can just put it in leyman's terms, I can handle it.

GAH!

Ok, so my laptop's hard drive died so they replaced it, but now my macbook doesn't have photobooth. I checked in applications but it isn't there. What happened to it?
Also, there is a space in my dock where it's just a big question mark. I can't click on it and open it, it just says 'iMovie.' And I already have an iMovie thing working so I'm not sure what that is either.

Oh, also...
since my hard drive was replaced, all my songs were deleted but I still have them on my iPod, but when I plug in my iPod and tell it to put the songs onto the library nothing happens. Why?

Thanks!
xoxo

I download free trials of anti-virus software from download.com quite frequently. I am paying for a 1mb connection, but I never even get speeds anywhere near that. The most I have gotten is 200KB/s. Is AT&T limiting my bandwith?

No credit cards, no rubbish sites where its supposedly free until you try to reply to someone. Then you get the message UPGRADE NOW!. It must be 100% FREE, with REAL women, not models advertising their own sites, and most importantly of all it must have nothing to do whatsoever with ADULT FRIENDFINDER who seem to own every adult site out there and surprise surprise not long after you get the message 'Your computers at risk', download Spy Doctor or Spy Something or other to cure it. (Does anyone ever actually fall for that?) It then takes an age to remove all the spyware and trackers from my pc. Am i asking too much here ? ps. It would be nice if a few of the dames had pics and live in the West Midlands.

I need to ask the user if he wants to input a new set of values. The question needs to loop untill the user answers no. The code i've used is below. I've been told that the "vbyes" comment is incorrect - and i can understand that - however i don't know what to replace it with.

Thanks

msgbox "do you want to input another reading...(etc)

If MsgBox = vbyes Then
Check = True
Do
(statements)
MsgBox "Do you want to input another reading...(etc)
If Msgbox = vbNo Then
Check = False
Exit Do
ElseIf MsgBox = VbYes Then
Check = True

End if

Loop Until Check = False

ElseIf VnNo Then
End if

End Sub

As much detail as you can provide would be much appreciated!!

Thanks for your time!

I was going to throw an old PC into the garbage but then decided on a use for it. But when I instal the software it informs me that "this software can only be installed on WinNT 4 (from SP6) Win2000 SP4" etc. There is Win 95 on the PC and I'm curious if it worthwhile spending time trying to find such a thing for Win 95. Does anyone know for sure?
