I am trying to edit a picture on Microsoft Paint. I want to put text on the picture, but every time I try, there is a white background around where I put my text. Is there a way to get rid of that? Or should I use a different program? Please help me!

Yes, I believe that this is possible.

In order to do this, I believe that when you're entering text, there are two buttons that you can select, and you should should click the lower of the two buttons.

(I believe that the buttons may have a cylinder, a circle, and a cube. I believe that one has a white area around the cube and one doesn't. If you don't want white background behind your text, then you should select the one without the white background behind the cube.)

Good luck and I hope I helped you!

no that's not possible - trust me, i've tried it sooo many times :( but you can do that in photoshop and then copy paste the picture onto MS Word. That is what I do and works really well because photoshop has tools that paint or MS Word doesn't have... if you don't know how to work photoshop, i highly recommend learning the basics from youtube videos incase you need to do something like this in the future (use the march break!) :D PHOTOSHOP WORKS LIKE A CHARM! :D

Under the toolbar, when you are typing your words, are two other boxes. one should be highlighted-it's for a white background. Click the one below it, click back to your words, and continue typing. when you are done, click outside the text box and you should have just letters.

yea click the text button, make your box, and click the button on the bottom of the menu with the blue, red, and green shapes. you will see two of them, but click the one on the bottom.
