There's loads available out there.....

These ones have been around almost since the dawn of time (or at least were well established when I first started using the internet about 8yrs ago)
http://geocities.com (part of YAHOO!)
http://angelfire.com (part of Lycos)
http://www.tripod.com (also part of Lycos)
http://bravenet.com

And these 2 have sprung up since:
http://pages.google.com
http://2ip.com

Usually your Internet Service Provider gives you some free hosting space as well.

There is no such thing as a FREE lunch! Nor FREE servers!
Servers COST money. Maintenance COSTS money. People handling them COST money.
You can find "free" servers, but they will NOT be fast, and you will be bombarded by adverts you cannot remove: that is the COST of FREEdom.
Come on! A proper domain costs less than 10€/$/£ per year, and a reasonnable server costs less than 100€/$/£ per year. If you cannot afford that, then don't go to the web, or drink less beer/wine this new-year's eve: your savings would PAY for a decent site...
If you are broke, you face another problem: the site you want to design is going to be pretty complex. If you do not have the skills, you will need to pay a good designer (graphics) and an excellent coder (make the graphics to work!) and THAT costs a lot of money!

The two best free webhosts are:

http://freehostia.com

http://freewebs.com

Freehostia is best because you get plenty of bandwidth and storage space, and they don't plaster ads all over your free page the way Freewebs does. And no, you don't have to pay to get a subdomain at either.

Last but not least None are completly free, You will see, You will have to purchase a Domain Name.
All offer there little perks to get your buisness, but none are all free.
Geocities is by far the best, Loacted on Yahoo's opening page. Or at
http://www.geocities.com

I like blogspot.com - I use the video and picture applications. And, if you ever become not broke in the future - you can host it somewhere else and do really cool things to it.
