I think that MySpace could be safe if you use it safely. If you don't give out your address and any personal information, then I'd say it's probably pretty safe.

However, if you give out any personal information, such as e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, and other information, then, no it's probably not as safe as if you didn't.

I believe MySpace might also have a page about safety that may be worth reading if you're a MySpace user.

Good luck and I hope I helped you!

No, it is not safe right now. It could be. But Myspace is where 40 year old men meet a 13 year old girl and she is kidnapped and murdered. I do not have a Myspace. I am very, very young. But Myspace could be safer, but there are those freaks out there who feel the need to go there and find young people. Unfortunately, it is not that safe anymore.

It is a safe place as long as you don't do stupid things while you are on it. When people make up stuff and act as if they are someone else or just try and hinder people...that really makes the site worthless.

In my view, the site is a cool place for people to hang out and talk amongst friends and even family! Sometimes there are the random "bad people" that try and hack into your account or just put dumb stuff on your page when you are not even online, but that is the Internet for you.

Just keep everything clean and the site is AWESOME!
I also think that the age for people to have a myspace page would be around 12 and up.

Good Luck!

Are you talking about meeting people? The Internet is the Internet, there are wackos everywhere. I wouldn't put my credit card info into myspace either. Myspace is also crawling with ad bots that hijack peoples profiles. Facebook is a lot safer in my opinion.

It's only safe if you're not stupid. Some people on MySpace talk to people who say their 14 years old, but really, they're 40. :/
I know it's a website to interact with people. But it's probably just for people in your age group. Not older people. :/ :/
But, yes. If you're not stupid, it's safe.

It's perfectly safe as long as you don't give away too many details (like your home address, complete with GPS co-ordinates) or anything else daft like that.... or give out your passwords to anybody - not even to your pet goldfish or budgie (if you have one)

And also as long as you put your settings right in
Account settings > Privacy
Account Settings > Spam

It's also generally safe in regard to not having any dodgy ActiveX controls or Spyware to do your computer in, as these days the site is largely owned by "News Corp" - who also own "Fox News", "Sky Digtal Satelite" + shows such as "The Simpsons" & "The X-Files" (though I guess you still need to be wary visiting profiles of people you don't know - as always you should have properly Anti-Virus + Anti-Spyware installed, and fully updated regardless of what sites you visit).

Yeah but everybody gets on Chat Rooms, Thats then they go & meet the people, & they turn out to be bad or whatever. You can put your profile as priavte & no one can talk to you as long as you aprove them as a friend they have to know your last name then then you add them. Do you understand? sorry if you dont its kinda confusing. Youd understand if you had a myspace.
