GAH!

Ok, so my laptop's hard drive died so they replaced it, but now my macbook doesn't have photobooth. I checked in applications but it isn't there. What happened to it?
Also, there is a space in my dock where it's just a big question mark. I can't click on it and open it, it just says 'iMovie.' And I already have an iMovie thing working so I'm not sure what that is either.

Oh, also...
since my hard drive was replaced, all my songs were deleted but I still have them on my iPod, but when I plug in my iPod and tell it to put the songs onto the library nothing happens. Why?

Thanks!
xoxo

Photobooth has been uninstalled. The Question mark means that the application is no longer there. You need to have them put it back on.

You can move your songs back on your computer with a program called senuti which is itunes spelled backwords.

Well for your ipod.. If you have no music on your iTunes and you click update then all songs will be erased on your ipod as well because if there are no songs in your library then it will erase all songs on ipod. You have to get some software that will transfer songs from your ipod to your itunes. I got a software from target to put on my laptop but it doesn't work so well.

As for your Macbook, send it back and tell them that they messed it up and if it's still under warranty then they should just replace the whole thing since they screwed it all up.

Hard drive is where all the information you put on the computer is stored.
If you have the hard drive replaced, you lose that information - the movie, the music.....
Any other technical questions, you should really call or go see people @ Apple store.

iPod: do a Google search for progs to move music off your iPod onto your computer - there are tons and they all have different options.

PhotoBooth/iMovie: you might have to reload iLife off your initial discs - start with disc one and choose the option to install all applications (you don't have to re-install the OS). That might mix it, but if not you might be heading back to the Apple Store.

Call the Apple Store where you had it repaired and complain. Then, get them to fix it properly.

P.S. Take your iPod with you and have them show you how it's done.
