I'v been looking for quite a while now, and have found many different types of SDK's (software development kits). The trouble is, that their is to many to pick from and related resorces such as tutorials and instalation guides are difficult to find. Can anyone suggest a SDK that allow C++ programs to be executed without using the .NET framework and an abundent sorce of tutorials ect.... I'm using MS Visual C++ 2005 at the mom, if thats any help. thanxs

Here's my experience trying to get my wireless card D-Link-G132 working with linux. First let me tell you that the DWL-G132 is one of the most powerful & expensive wireless card on the market. You will imagine it will be supported by linux ??:)

I download Ubuntu 7.10. But bizarrely won't ask for a root password during the installation.
The card was not supported after battling for 3 hours. Tried Ndiswrapper 1.51 amd Madwifi. Not working. Also could not go to the "SU" I bet you have an idea why??LOL

Tried Mandriva 8 came very close to get it working. But it failed
Mandriva does not allow the "make install" of ndiswrapper 1.51. Why? No idea. I had no issue with Fedora 8 to make install.

Finally tried Fedora 8. The reboot of Fedora 8 was full of errors but finally loaded. Fedora 8 had about 25 wireless cards but of course mine was not supported.
Tried to install Ndisrapper however The Kernel shows errors. Linux STOP Copying Windows and make WIRELESS FRIENDLY. .God.

I am having a problem changing my resolution for computer screen. I have recently had the whole drive cleaned out and now the resolution will not go passed 640x480 pixels or the lowest quality (4bit) of colors.

i'm using IBM computer. Any suggestion how can i check my drivers and where can i download it? i'm still new in installing windows and drivers. Thanks in advance evryone!

I have P4 2.8 GHz in a case with a fan on the side and 4 fans in the front. How should I configure the direction of the air flow through the case for the most effecient cooling? In through the side, out through the front or vice versa?

It seems like in Singapore we got a lot of companies touting their policies for recycling computer parts, but none of them seem to have a collection of any sorts for the man in the street. I'm hoping there are options other than just dumping the hardware in the rubbish and adding mercury to some landfill somewhere. Can anyone advise on any pick up or drop off service I could use?

I have an HP vista premium laptop. I bought it in Sept. of this year. It has been great up until about 3 days ago. The startup was always fairly quick. For the past 3 days however after I put in my password at the welcome screen, it takes longer it goes to a solid pink screen, sits there for about
20 seconds before getting to my desktop screen. Now it takes longer to completely load. It use to didn't do this. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Can I fix it?

you see when i tried to delete a folder it will inform and error...i cant delete the folder what can i do?..is this a virus?

it always happen when i always create new folder and everytime its says

"cannot delete new folder: the directory is not empty."

can anyone please help me? i already tried a full scan but no viruses found... what should i do!?

I just set up my wireless router. I do not like where it is and am going to move it. I have to unplug the power cord though. If I do that will I have to set up the router all over again?
