What OS (Win98, WinME, XP, ....???)

Generally, you can R click on a blannk area of the screen and choose "properties" then "settings" to change the resolution.

You may need to load drivers for the video card in your machine.

Hi. That is the default resolution and the one used by 'Safe mode'. Normally you change this by right-clicking on the Desktop, click 'Properties', 'Settings', then slide up a level. Click 'Apply', NOT 'OK'. This way if it does not work the display will return after 15 seconds.

You have good answers if you need a driver. The IBM site should have it available.

I think you lost display drivers of your P.C....

Please check if you any C.D which came with the computer, If there is then please check the display drivers and install them...

If you don't have a Drivers C.D then ask your hardware vendor to privide one...

If this is not possible then check the model # of your computer and you can download drivers directly from IBM wesite....

When you wiped your hard drive, your video card drivers got erased. You need to reload your drivers and you will be able to adjust your resolution
