I need some tech help. I have a pop-up that keeps coming up and shuts down my internet connection as well as overrides my virus protection. The text box displays this message "The instructions at "0x7c901010" referenced memory at "0x0148bc7C". The memory could not be "read". Click ok to terminate the program?" I have deleted some of the related files for this virus but it comes back. Does anyone know of a way to erase the entire virus????

I have a lot of remote users on my network, mostly in sales. They communicate into our business through Citrix VPN software, and from time to time (with certain people) they call in and complain of their applications not responding, and I am wondering if it is their internet connection on their end.

Instead of having them open a command window and PING something to see if they are live, are there any quick little apps out there that monitor your internet signal, and maybe flashes something on the screen or in the System Tray if the connection is broken? Like something that just displays a RED dot or a GREEN dot. This would be very helpful and save me SO much time having this as a tool for my end users to look at.

I have a project to secure a PC, to the point where if you dont have the key. The computer is useless, and where you couldnt run a key gen or brute force gen as it would erase everything.

is there a linux distro that encrypts the entire partition with its own format? or something like that for XP? I want really really good encryption if you cannot tell. This computer wont have anything else on it but the data i need to protect.

I have been known to write a few troll postings on a variety of Internet message boards. I find it funny that so many people reply to my troll postings. They love to complain about my silly posts but the troll postings always get the best replies and alot more action than simple regular questions or replies.

Well, simply I bought this in a shop and plugged it in my USB slot but the sound comes out of the speakers and the microphone doesn't work - I use Window XP Home Edition if that's any help - how do I use them :).

I'm looking to get a laptop and one of the main price differences is because of the graphic card. I'm not going to use it for gaming. If I purchase the laptop with the better graphic card (all other specs being the same), would DVD quality and video streaming be a lot better? Or won't make much of a difference? Thanks

I dont know how to do this, what does "signed binary integer" mean? the signed bit i dont understand. I tried working out the question like this but its wrong?

I am trying to make a table with HTML, i want it to have 2 columns, 1 column needs to be 5/10 % and the rest for the other column. No matter what width i give the columns they are splitting pretty much 50%.
this is what i done before tag...

(even the number 1 won't make it smaller)
(99 is not doing anything)


No matter what number i use, it keeps messing up.
Does anyone know where i am going wrong?

It tells me "protection: partially running"
Signatures are corrupted.
Some protection components have malfunctioned.

it tries to do this:
File download started bases/ids/i386/idsbase.kdz
but comes back with this:
Network operation timeout expired http://dnl-eu5.kaspersky-labs.com/bases/ids/i386/idsbase.kdz
What should I do?

My computer keeps turning its self off, crashing. It can be running something then just turn off. to get it back on I need to turn the power off at the wall to reset it. Often if it’s in the middle of a scan, or running an on-line game. It has even shut down while it is sitting on the desk top , with no programs running.
The hard drive is not full, and I don’t think it’s over heating. This is an intermittent fault, but it is getting a lot worse.
When looking at the task manager it offer says it’s only running at 7-10%.

Does anyone have any help or guidance they could give with this problem.

If I have missed something of the detail please email me and I will give any info that may help, in a diagnoses.

WinXP home, sp2, it’s about 3 years old.
