If it's a DELL or HP then overclocking the CPU is impossible.

Pentium 4's are very overclockable. I'm guessing socket 478. That 2.0 can go to 2,8GHZ easy on a mobo that has overclocking options.

IT'S EASY TO UPGRADE THE CPU!!!

Here is a P4 3.0GHZ: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116027

Don't know your video card specs but memory will really help game performance.

I would up grade my DDR ram To 2X1 gig sticks.

LOOK this is good memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211014

Yes, it is easy to install a new cpu, it is also easy to break the cpu when installing. I'd upgrade the RAM first tho. See how your system runs on 2 gigs of RAM, then if your programs are still slow, then you can upgrade your CPU. Upgrading RAM is alot easier than upgrading a CPU.

No- you have a limited memory, but if you will upgrade you can install 7 but it will be slow n your processor is below 2ghz you need also to upgrade the internal drive- 80gb minimum external drive cant help u need a big capacity internal hard drive windows 7 demands more -System Memory (2GB Recommended) -Processing speed (2.0Ghz up) -Hard Drive capacity (80gb minimum) -Video memory (32-128MB) you can still install windows7 even your system did not meet the minimum requirements but it will be slow and it will just put your laptop to maximum load

512 MB is no where near enough memory to run todays new games.....some require up to 2 GB of memory before they'll run

1Gb RAM in XP or 2GB in Vista would do wonders to your PC.
