Basically I have this dilemma, should I go with an open source language like php or use Microsoft's asp.net. What are the ramifications of choosing the language based on this? What are your thoughts on this? Thank you.

Am paranoid because my Norton trial has ended and i need to wait for my next paycheck to actually go buy the proper pack. Also, if you dont mind Which Norton pack do you recommend i buy? I think they have three and i know nothing about IT, so whichever is most effective for a person with limited knowledge of all the techie stuff. Thanks.

I made this webpage for my site...but it does not fit all screen types. On my computer when I go to that page it fits inside my browser perfectly. But when you use a wider screen or something else you have to scroll left and right. I know other sites don't do this. How do I make my page fit all screens? Is there an HTML code? I just installed another 512mb memory on my PC (bringing total memory to 1GB) and i see a dramatic change in speed. I looked at my motherboard user book and it says i can install up to 1GB of memory, how accurate is that or can i install little more than that? if i were to take one of the 512mb's out and get a 1Gb memory would that mess up my system? Appreciate all help to troubleshoot this problem:
. BIOS screen not shown
. hard drive LED shows yellow
. CD drive no light (if I remove data cable tape then the CD drive operational)
. CPU fan working, case fan working fine
. ON/OFF switch working, reset function working

Ive got a computer thats half descent (and in peices) but I havent used it in about a year. So what ive decided to do is to Put a linux on it, so that I can play around with it and familiarise myself with the OS, annd then eventauly i might even start using it like i do my Windows PC.

But theres a problem- I dont know which one to install!
Fedora * look samazing, btu Ive heard its quite advanced, and ive heard ok things about Debian and Ubuntu.

What Linux Distro should I go for with me beng an absolute beginner, only ever used MacOSX and Windows on a regular basis?

Please give reasons for your choice, Im after one that user friendly and not too difficult to use for internet, documents and instaling the damn wireless USB Dongle!

Yesterday when I booted my computer I got this message:

"Windows could not start because of error in the software.
Please report this problem as :
load needed DLLs for kernel.
Please contact your support system to report this problem"

My computer was working fine and then all of a sudden I get this message. I tried to reinstall windows, but it wouldn't let me. Something came up telling me that im missing some files named hal.dll , and also missing ntosknrl.exe. I'm at a loss on what to do next. I thought formatting the drive using the windows xp cd would do the trick, now I can't even do that. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to solve this problem? I would greatly appreciate it.
