always look for "manufacturer refurbished" as these come with a manufacturer warranty and often are uncompleted orders or returns. In all other respects apart from the packaging, these units may be brand new.

It's basically a computer that has been professionally restored, so that means the computer is cleaned, and checked if all the hardware is working. The software is most likely reinstalled, so you'll have a clean install of the operating system. After being "refurbished" it is put back on the market. It's pretty much a fancy name for something that has been checked and cleaned, but used.

You can basically consider a refurbished computer like a used car at a car dealer.

It is a laptop that has been rebuilt or re-conditioned for whatever reason. Basically it is USED and up for resale. God or the person selling it or the original owner would know what was wrong for it to be "refurbished". This doesn't necessarily mean that something is bad with it could be, could not be but it is def rebuilt and used.

Refurbished = second hand stuff which has broken down and then fixed, and then sold again and again, with a warranty of course!

It means something went wrong with the laptop at one point, and the customer returned it. It was rebuilt and "repaired", but you'll never know what was wrong with it.

its a second hand laptop that they cleaned and, if there are any, fixed minor bugs.
