* PCs are usually cheaper and easier to upgrade.
* The majority of programs are written for Windows, which Mac can now run, however, you'll have to purchase a copy of Windows, so add another $120 on top of your Mac.
* PCs are generally better for gaming

* Macs are (generally) more stable because they use proprietary parts.
* Since you don't have access to many important system files, there is less chance you can break your Mac
* Macs don't (currently) have any viruses, so you don't have to worry about that. Most PCs come with anti-virus software, but if they don't, that might set you about $50 or so.

That's pretty much the whole (unbiased) scoop.

(PhotoBooth is the name of the program.)

I am a mac user and love the OS. I would recommend it to anyone. The only thing macs are not good for is gaming. I use it for Photos mostly but do some video stuff on it as well. To upload your photos and edit them it is so easy...someone who has never touched a computer before would have no troubles at all.

I work on PC's at work and I don't care for them much...you have to get all this virus/firewall software to protect it. It is also much harder for a new user to use a windows computer. Mac is very easy to use!

What you are talking about with taking pictures from the make with it's iSight camera is Photo Booth....I have had hours of fun with that thing!

If you are looking for ease of use and a good system, go with a mac. If you are looking to game and have a more complicated system go with a Windows OS...but beware of Vista.

If you are not experienced in computer already a current Intel-based Mac is worth it, but more experience means Macs worth less, and Macs are fractured between current and old and ancient and dinosaur era types, only current/old with OS X should be considered.

*Macs have LESS virus' written for them(not none).
*Macs are generally percieved to be more stable

*PC's are easier to upgrade
*PC's are cheaper
*PC's have more software written for them
*PC's have now closed the gap in performance between them and mac's, meaning they are level pegged for photo and video editing.
