Hi how can i speed up my torrents on bitcomet coz my average download speed is 3.5mb but only getting bout 5kb on bitcomet downloads. and does anybody know where i can download bt engine to try and speed them up as well

Please help everytime i use my computer now it keeps disconnecting. My isp provider is PIPEX has been working ok since i started with them.Just since last month this has been happening.I phoned them up and they said it could be my usb port and i would need to purchase another modem for £35.They then said it must be my laptop and to get in touch with sony to get this fixed inside the usb port. I contacted sony and they said i would need to restore my computer but i really think it's simpler than that. Please anyone help me through this step by step as it's really annoying having to connect every 10mins or so.

Every time I try to turn my computer off, instead of turning off automatically, the following message comes up: " It is now safe to turn off your computer" and it keeps on until I manually press hold the power button...Is there any way to override this annoying step? Please

I've bought a wired optical mouse and I've tried to install it on my laptop, but I keep getting a message saying 'device not recognised' and that it's malfunctioned. In the instruction booklet it says I should uninstall my previous mouse, but I'm using the touchpad mouse that's already on my laptop (if that makes sense). I'm a bit worried as to whether I should uninstall the touchpad one, cos if I do, how am I gonna be able to install the new one? And what if I wanna revert back to the touchpad one in the future...?

Hi ,Have a jetflash 110 TS1GJF110 DRIVE.On trying to access it says drive is not formatted and gives option of formatting it.

I know everyone says to purchase the Seagate, but I found a pretty good deal on the Maxtor. I'm not so sure about the Maxtor though...My friend dropped his on the ground & it doesn't work anymore, so that's kinda discouraging me from buying one. Convince me otherwise...

I bought a new windows vista ultimate......but before i download it, I want to know whether i need to upgrade any parts.......

My current System configuration is

-Windows XP Media Center Edition Service Pack 2
-Pentium 4 3.20 GHz
-504 MB of RAM
-160 GB hard drive
-100% updated computer


My computer does make wierd noises and the fan starts once i have 3-4 windows opened at the same time........

Please recommend me somethings i need to do in order to install windows vista and make my computer have a better performance.....I don't want it to be slow......

I have a specific situation that requires me to reduce my CSS stylesheet to XHTML. Rather than an admonishment about "why" I shouldn't, I would like advice about how to do this properly - is there a tool out there that will do this? I recently removed a bunch of spyware and viruses from my computer, but now the internet connection doestn work. I've run diagnostic tests and they say that there is a problem with winsock (what is that?) and that my IP address is not valid or malfunctioning. I know that the DSL modem is working , because i have two more computers connected to it, and they work well. So how can I restore IP address and fix all my connection problems?

For a statistics problem, I have to take data that I have computed and turn it into a line graph. I have the Microsoft package, but for some reason it didn't come with Excel. So I have put the data into a chart on Word, but it won't let me take the data and put it into a graph, because it can't link to Excel. Is there any kind of program or anything online that I could use to make a simple line graph? The teacher doesn't want it drawn by hand, and I have about 25 ordered pairs that need to be plotted.

Alright, so I have a new computer with some crappy 500 watt power supply and it's loud as a goat. There's also a CPU fan (AMD 5000+.) Will replacing my power supply fix the problem or can i use the same power supply with a different power supply fan or what.

I basicly looking for the best way to quiet down my PC so I can leave it on when I sleep.
