I'm trying to do a little detective work (being nosy) and I was wondering if a person takes their laptop overseas and sends you and e-mail, does it show a different ip address from when they are home?

I've been eBaying for years, and have even been a PowerSeller. I've almost always used stock photography. Well, now it's time to clean house and get rid of my own junk, especially clothes, that does not have stock photography available to me. So, what do I need to take high-quality, not expensive photos of my items? I have a great camera. I need to know, what kind of mannequin should I buy that's cheap but looks good? And, what can I use as a backdrop? I've tried a sheet, but it doesn't look very professional.

I have a Maxtor 200GB Personal Storage 3200 Hard Drive and I recently went to plug it in and it wouldn't find it. After some work it FINALLY found it but when I click to open it it says "The disk structure is corrupt and unreadable." I tried to search for some answers but none made sense to me. Can someone explain to me WHY it has done this and HOW to fix it. (where I can understand it)

I am a freshmen in college and up until no I have been the only one hooking my laptop up to my school's network using my ethernet cord. My roommate is somewhat of a hacker and he is about to get his laptop and I know he may be able to access my computer since we share the same room and the ethernet jacks are right next to each other. What computer software can I buy besides Spysweeper (which I already have) to make sure everything on my laptop is completely secure and private? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Sometimes when my laptop is on and running, audio plays for no reason at all. Yesterday something that sounded like a Dave Navarro/Ron Jeremy podcast played for no reason even though no programs were running in the front. This has happened a few times and it always sounds like a podcast. Does it have something to do with being on a wireless network?

When something keeps intruding upon my computer without my request or my permission, I consider that a virus. Unfortunately Gateway, like many other computer makers, has loaded their laptops down with crap that most people don't want and won't use (AOL, NetZero, Game demo's, etc.).

Bad enough it takes up hard-disk space and other system resources, but it is not easily removable. I have deleted the links to AOL and NetZero, but they come back every time I log on.

I have used (Vista equivalent of Add/Delete Programs) to remove every trace of AOL and NetZero that it would let me remove. I still find many AOL and NZ related files on my hard drive, and many references to both programs in my registry.

I could just delete the files, but I want to remove the programs correctly. And I don't want to just delete references to them in the registry without knowing exactly what I'm doing.

Any ideas appreciated!

Bought the HP dv6000 limited edition laptop this summer because I loved the way it looked and thought it would fit my needs. But I have started playing Lord of the Rings Online and
find it below par. I have it optimized for the game but the graphics are not great and I am laggy all the time. I have a desktop with the same internet connection and it is fine. So it is not the internet speed. Can I upgrade this thing or is it a loss? Thanks

okay so i got a new gateway laptop. I have a compaq desktop which i bought brand new from walmart on 2005. The CPU's drive E isn't working, it's infested with virus, it's windows xp is deactivated but the monitor and other hardware are in very good condition. What should i do to it except for donating it to salvation army or some charity. I actually wanna earn something. My friend told me i can trade it at costco or bestbuy? how does that work? thank uuuuuuu!!

I have a Dell Inspiron 8500 (yes its old) laptop. I have a program and device to do gps with it but my computers battery doesnt last long enough to use on a trip without a power source. I need an inverter but i am not sure what size nor brand to buy b/c ive heard that they can mess up your computer if you get the wrong one. My power pack is a PA-10 ac adapter and says
Input : AC 100-240V ~1.5 A, 50-60hz
Output: DC 19.5 V, 4.62 A

Is there a certain wattage of inverter i should buy?

ok after i reinstalled windows XP to my windows, the screen resolution turns to 640x480 and it's in 4 bit color quality! what do i have to do to make the resolution go higher and the color quality go higher? my CPU is intel celeron but i can't seem to find any driver installatio, can anyone please help me or give me the download sites for the drivers?thanks very much!
