first of all visit the microsoft for the requirements for vista....if you computer has minimum 506 ram and 60 gb hard disk and also 1.60ghz processor. then follow the steps to install vista.

1. insert cd of vista in g drive
2. restart your computer
3 then press any key to boot from cd or dvd
4. now vista will prompt you that what you want to do.
5. before formating c drive you can see an option 'advance' click and choose c and format.
6. and let the vista to start installation.

and in last its very easy to install vista and not complicated then xp so i hope you will easy during installation.

best of luck.

This can be done although you must have the 16 digit code to load another system. Go to www.support/microsoft for instructions on how to put a new operating system in and further you may run into problems with many things. You need to know how much of everything your computer has in order to determine that you have adequate hard drive etc. Hope this helps. I don't think I would personally do it myself. I would take it to a qualified technician for evaluation. Good luck.
