i have microsoft word and am attempting to make my paper horizontally long rather than vertically. in other words, i want to flip how the paper normally would be so it is on its side.
any tips for how to do this, like what window to go into in order to format it correctly?

I'm at a university and I am very dependent on wireless internet for the most part. I have a 7 month old HP Pavillion dv6000 and for the past 6 1/2 months, the wireless internet has worked fine and then suddenly for the past couple weeks or so, I am unable to get any signal. My wireless card is in, my wireless "assistant" is on and yet I am unable to obtain any networks while other people in the same room (most with older laptops) are able to get a signal. What do you think the problem is?

Alright. I downloaded a thing called Second Life. I wanted to open it after I downloaded it, but now it says,
"Second Life is unable to run because your video card drivers are out of date or unsupported. Please make sure you have the latest video card drivers installed."
Can anyone tell me what this means, and what to do?? Please..HELP!

I'm about to build a well runnning yet low-cost computer.

The graphics card I'm about to order is the Diamond Viper ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO 512MB . The specs on this beast is amazing but I'm not so sure if it's good with gaming. But it handles Direct X10 so it should work great right?

okay well my brother just got a computer..and I have verizon DSL hooked up to mine..if I use the CD i used to download the internet on his...will it work? like will I have to pay for his too? I dont want to buy a router so if i do this..will it work?

and if i do have to pay..what if I un-install it from my comp and just use his (my comp is REALLY old and barely works)

My old computer had Windows XP and Microsoft Works which I used almost everyday. But I just got a new computer with Windows Vista and I can't seem to find Microsoft Works.

Does anyone know if there's another program on here which will allow me to write letters, print shipping labels and print business & postcards?

I just recently installed windows XP and noticed in disk clean-up that the back up files for my previous operation system which is windows 98 is 300MB. That is alot of space that's taken up and no wonder my computer is so slow. I have no reason to return to windows 98 operating system. windows xp works fine! Can I just clean up those back-up files for windows 98 or will it affect my computer in a bad way like delete things i currently need including microsoft word that was on windows 98 but stayed after windows xp was installed. Can someone help me?

Can you use bluetooth to connect a PC to the internet?

I bought a new computer and I'm placing it in another room. I've used conventional USB wireless adapters before, but I saw that the bluetooth dongles were cheaper and was wondering whether they can be used to connect to the internet.

Would you connect to the internet regularly like you do with USB adapters, or do you have to do something differently? Is there any other special software I have to buy in addition to the dongle?

I just got a used CDRW and it didn't come with any cables or software. It's in my computer and working, but when I put in a blank CD and try to burn a CD, it says insert a blank CD. It can read a regular CD perfectly though. Does it need a driver or did I do something wrong?

I want to do a safe mode run and clean out my system a little. I heard that Safe Mode is beneficial for that. my concerns are

1 Will I be able to get it back to normal
2.What programs would be safe to run in Safe mode or should I run(as far as cleaning is concerned)
3. Will I still be able to run Spyware and Anti-Virus programs
4. What do the different Safe mode options mean(Safe Mode with Networking and some other one)
5. Will it delete or destroy any important files.
6. and as a last resort will I be able to get on the internet(if I need some advice on how to fix any problems that I may have)
