Exactly two(2) days ago, I was ripping music using Window Media Player and my system froze up. In order to close the program, I had to disconnect using the power switch on my tower/hard-drive. Upon rebooting, I received a system error message stateing," Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt; Windows root>/system 32/hal.dll." Please re-install a copy of the above file. My question is,(How do I accomphish this now that I'm not able to re-boot my system?) Your assistance and U guys are greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ole-Skool.
