When I got my computer I purchased the McAfee Firewall Plus and VirusScan with it. It came with a CD that I uploaded to my computer and then I had the Personal Firewall Plus and VirusScan working fine. But now it says,"0 days left!Your Anti-Hacker Protection Has Expired!
Always browse, bank and shop online with up-to-date firewall protection. McAfee makes it easy to choose the right solution."
I would like someone to explain how my anti-hacker protection has expired, meaning for some reason the Firewall and not the VirusScan, if I bought the software and downloaded it to my computer?

In order to use Mcafee you had to create an account with them , so simply go to your Mcafee account and see when and why it expired and question them, if you need to purchase an upgrade from them you would be better off with a Internet Security Suite than with separate Antivirus and Firewall, i have both the Total Protection 2008 and Internet Security 2008 and both work awesome. P.S. Avoid any Zone Alarm Products ( Trust Me)i build and repair computers and have had many come in with Zone Alarm that were not configured properly and that was the only thing wrong with them, that cost them $50.

Go back 2 days before this happened and do a system restore to that date. And see if this corrects it, you have a virus which has corrupted your system. Some of these are bad and peoples out there have nothin else to do that create these. Also see what you were doing that day and check all your downloads, and what applications were used or placed on your p/c that day. And what sites you were at. I also had this anti-virus program and it caused me problems that did not catch these corrupted files, and knocked out the anti-virus program. After you get your system back in order i would obtain another anti-virrus program and not Norton, or Mcafee these guys have major issues on their programs.

You probably brought the anti-virus, and they gave you a 30 day trail of the firewall. They are NOT the same program. They hope that you will then spend the extra to get the firewall program also. Standard marketing trick.

Or, delete it and download the free ZoneAlarm firewall from http://download.com
