Both the RAM are 667 mHz. Does it make a difference if I use a PC-5300 instead of PC2-5300 as an upgrade to my laptop? I am using a HP dv6114tx which has 512mB PC2-5300 SODIMM 667 mHz RAM, and wish to upgrade to a 1gB making a total of 1.5gBs

After unsuccessfully trying to upgrade the video card & power Supply in my Sony Vaio (PCVRS420) due to proprietary sized Power supply, I am fed up and considering a new PC. My Sony has been good otherwise for everything else I do. Pentium 4 at 2.8ghz (HTT) I saw a reasonable custom built with a dual core but only 1.8ghz. Will this be better than my 2.8Ghz. since it is new processor technology or will I see a real lag in my processing speed?? Any advice on a good custom place to buy would be appreciated as well! I'm looking to replace my motherboard, CPU, case, and powersupply and move my 2 harddrives and DVD Drive to the new case and set it up. Now I'm having a problem finding out if I should get OEM of Windows XP or Retail. I'm leaning towards OEM because it's cheaper. But if OEM has some major cons to it, I might buy retail. People have said OEM has some problems that retail doesn't, like random crashing or whatever. I also know that Windows XP OEM can only be installed once, to hardware. Does that mean if I add an extra harddrive, or a new graphics card that it will have to be reinstalled again? I'm confused on the whole situation, if anyone would be kindly to list the pros and cons to buying OEM vs. retail, I'd be very grateful.

I have a big range of data, example, A1:H20,with different quantity of A,B,C,D,E,F,G within these range. How can i set a formulae so that if i click on D, all the other cells that contain D will be highlighted, and if i change to click on G, all the other cells with G with be highlighted, etc. OR if there is a way to formulae a new cell so that if i type in D, all the D in the data range will be highlighted.

P/S: I had tried the conditional formatting, it only allow me to have 3 condition highlight and they have to be different colour and appear at the same time. Not what i want. what i want is highlight certain value at a time when i ask for that particular value only

OK, which card? 8800 gts 320 or 2900pro HD 512?
My intentions are to OC the 2900pro to XT speeds.
