I have a big range of data, example, A1:H20,with different quantity of A,B,C,D,E,F,G within these range. How can i set a formulae so that if i click on D, all the other cells that contain D will be highlighted, and if i change to click on G, all the other cells with G with be highlighted, etc. OR if there is a way to formulae a new cell so that if i type in D, all the D in the data range will be highlighted.

P/S: I had tried the conditional formatting, it only allow me to have 3 condition highlight and they have to be different colour and appear at the same time. Not what i want. what i want is highlight certain value at a time when i ask for that particular value only

Thank you.

set conditional formating for A1:H20
..select cell value is
..point to a cell on the worksheet outside of A1:H20
..select the format

when you type a value into the cell that you referenced that equals any cell(s) in A1:H20 they will display in your format
