I was wondering if there's a way to get a performance boost for the standard pc user outside of buying a new processor or ram, as I am close to max for this system. I saw on a few websites that companies like sun microsystems are selling pci coprocessors and I was curious as to whether i would see any difference with something like that installed

i want to get a dictaphone. having surfed a bit i found that some MP3 players have voice recording attributes. olympus do a good range of dictaphone. i want the ones where i can use a USB to store voice recordings on my laptop and then to CD or memory stick. has anyone else used a dictaphone? or voice recording MP3 player? in the £50 range. (or less if poss)

we are in a hostel. we, some 20 people, share a broadband internet connection from BSNL with unlimited download. does this sharing reduce the speed of internet? sometimes it awfully goes down to 20kbps, worse than a dial up connection. please clarify.

How do I keep AOL's messenger service from popping up or starting when I start up my computer? My son uses it so I can't unistall it without taking it off of the entire computer. Is it possible...HELP...it's such a pain in the neck and it slows down my start up time, everything will freeze until that has come on.

On my mac with an .mac account I try to... Mail Contents Of This Page, by going to file and clicking the Mail Contents of this page link. Nothing happens.
I try to.... Mail Link to This Page by clicking the link again nothing happens.
Maybe a few seconds later the link appears in the Draft Box and I try to send it nothing happens.
What the Hell am I doing wrong or not doing as the case maybe.
