ok so i have that openoffice.org program which is kind of like microsoft word but it gives me the word count but i also need the readability level how do i get it to show??? please help me ASAP

Something similar to SoulSeek, which is simple and low on resources. It also lets you see the speed of the host's connection. I tend to look for obscure music, so I want something that connects to a lot of networks. That is all I am looking for.

NOT Limewire, Ares, Morpheus, or any Torrent programs. I see people always answer with Limewire, it is not what I am looking for, and not helpful. If there is anything that runs like SoulSeek, but with access to more networks.

I have this system

1.5GHZ VIA Integrated Processor
512MB DDR2 533MHZ RAM
GeForce 4 MX4000 PCI (all i have) 128MB

i dont want to have to buy a whole new computer so i was thinkin of just upgradin to a Geforce FX5500 256MB PCI
so i could play games on whatever settings i can like:

Doom 3
NFS Most Wanted
Battlefield 1942
Battlefield Vietnam

PLZ dont just tell me to get a new comp, i wanna know if i should just do this small upgrade to at least play those games.

I have digital camcorder and it is a Samsung SC-D371. It uses MiniDV tapes to record videos. Tomorrow, I was going to get a IEEE 1394 PCI card for my computer. I got the fire wire cable already but I just need that IEEE 1394 PCI card. Also I has wanting some answers on how to install one on a computer. I got my computer from MDG Computers and I got it in 2004. I just want to know how to install a IEEE 1394 PCI card. Thanks!

I'm looking at a refurbished Dell Inspiron 1721 laptop with a 160GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM), 2000MB, ATI Radeon Xpress 1270 hyper memory video card and a 1490 wireless card. Would this be a good laptop for heavy gaming ?(ex: World of Warcraft)

Im going to buy a AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ for my computer, I have read reviews and It says it runs really really hot, so I need to know what kind of heatsink fan and power supply I should get, but I dont know what kind I should get if someone can please tell me I would appreciate it. By the way my I dont really have alot of money to spend on the heatsink fan and the power supply since im going to be shelling out over $256 for the cpu, so if yall can find me a well priced heatsink and power supply it would be wonderful. thanks

If I clear my cache and then try to use a an Office 07 application it runs a config setup like its being run for the first time. It can take a few minutes and is VERY annoying. Anyone know anything about this? Office 07 seems very bloated and I'm thinking about going back to 2000 I've been using forever

Regarding the power on/off button on the pc. I assumed it was a mechanical shut off which can interupt the computer at any time you decide to shut it off.
Mine no longer shuts down the pc(even if I do the windows shut down procedure to the end). Let me be clear here, I have a switch on the outside of my pc on the case, some pc's have a switch in the back or on the side which must be turned on to get the computer to power up.
THAT IS THE CONTROL I AM REFERRING TO.How in blazes have I lost the control to shut it down?

The button does works, for I can shut down the pc when it is in the early stages of loading up(the pc maker stuff prior to windows), but once it starts loading Windows, manually being able to switch it off is no longer possible.

In order for me to shut off my pc now, I have to pull the plug.

Anybody ever experience this?

Am running Windows XP Pro

I'm giving my computer to my parents as is and I don't trust them with computer security or what-not and I want to make sure all my sensitive document and, ahem... mature adult entertainment videos are gone gone gone. My parents aren't computer wizards but the kids that use their computer are and I don't want any chance of them stumbling upon any information about me or my interests or my old passwords file. What's the best way to take care of all this stuff without formatting the entire computer and re-installing the OS?

OK i have a certain photoshop call FastStone image viewer. What Im trying to do is.

-well first off The picture has to be black and white.
-And make a certain part of the picture "in color"

-How do I do this?
-what is the tool called?
-If my photoshop doesnt have this tool what photoshop do I need to get for this tool?

Winfixer randomly poped up on my computer today and I need a simple yet affectve way to get rid of it. I have McAfee and it suggested to remove it by using the cotroll pannel. But, it seems to simple...will that work? Or should I try something else??

I have a Nvidia Ge Force Mx 440 graphics card PCI, need to upgrade to a Ge Force2 675 or greater or a Raedon 8500 or greater been on e-bay, but they have a lot of express pci cards. Im doing a McAfee virus scan and it's up to 600,000 files. Where/what are these files? I do have a lot of pictures and music on my comp but ..... geesh!

I'm doing the scan because my computer is running out of memory! It holds 80 GB in my hard drive. and there's not even 1 GB of free space left!

I dont even know what my main question here is. I just want some more space on my comp to hold more pictures and stuff.

my norton antivirus has reported 2 intrusions attempts.they were from different ip addresses though:
195.131.4.164 and
60.212.80.44

can i ask my internet provider to switch my ip address or something.go any suggestions?i only have 8 days of my norton antivirus left so im in trouble.

I was trying to sell some jewelry on Craigs list and I got like 4 people who wanted to buy it and then they say that they will send me extra money and to deduct the price I'm asking and send the rest through western union. They are sending a money order or a Cashiers check. Is this some time of scam??? Is this illegal in some way if I do this. Cash the Money order and send the rest of the money through western union????
Why are these different people doing this and for what reason. I would really like to know.

I was under the impression that SQL went FROM, WHERE, GROUP BY, HAVING, SELECT, ORDER BY. Is that not correct?

I've got the query
SELECT A.cruisingrange, AVG(E.salary) AS avgsal, A.aname
FROM employees AS E, aircraft AS A, certified AS C
WHERE A.aid = C.aid AND C.eid = E.eid
GROUP BY A.aname
HAVING A.cruisingrange > 1000;

but it breaks if I take out A.cruisingrange in the SELECT statement. I do not want it to return A.cruisingrange.
