I was looking into buying a ASUS Crossfire AMD2 Motherboard but I wanted to know if $240 was a good deal or a little much. That's about the best motherboard for an AMD2 socket and the price is as high as my budget allowes me to go... I could always save up and get something better? Is thier anything Better?

Hello,

Every month I need to convert hundreds of Word .doc's from one type of formatting to the next. For example, all the .docs come to me saved in Ariel 14 and I need to convert them all to Courier New 5 in Landscape mode.

As it stands now, I need to open the documents one by one, use a macro to convert them to the proper formatting, and then save the file (same file name).

I am looking for something that will take all the files in a directory, apply the proper formatting, and save the files..

Any ideas?

I have an HP Pavilion 50f flatscreen monitor, but I no longer have the power cord for it. it doesn't have the normal 3-prong hook-up, but a small round one with 4 little holes. I have been to office max, office depot, best buy, radio shack, and nobody carries this, nor does anybody know about it. Does anyone know where I can buy one?

I have a perfectly legal copy of photoshop. I want to install it onto the server of my network. So my question is; legally can this copy of photoshop be used on all 10 computers connected to the network and if not how many?

Does photoshop sell a more expensive version aimed at network usage?

I dred to think that i would have to buy photoshop 10 times to accomodate all 10 users who need it.

I read the licence agreement that photoshop has, but i didnt see a clear deffinate answer.

Also do you know if it is legal for multipal users to operate one legal copy of Autocad through a network server in the exact same way?

It was calculating fine and now all of the sudden it stopped recalculating once I change a number in one of the cells. When I reenter the formula it gives me the coorrect sum but still when I change one of the numbers it does not recalculate automatically.

I know how to create a basic personal page, but what I am looking to build: a swap site that allows my members to upload photos and list their items, allows people to sign up for memberships (like ebay for example), how to search for listings on my site only (ebay is an example again - like searching by category or by state), allowing members to leave feedback. im 16 and thinking of getting a laptop.. doesnt matter what kind..my parents are splitting up so i thought id give my new desktop to my mom instead of her buying a new one.. it would also be easier to carry with me when going from one parents house to another and have my personal stuff with me always.... and then me getting a laptop out of my college money .. and use my laptop through college in 3 years.. do u think i should get it in college ill just need it for internet and typing papers.. is it worth it to wait 3 years for a new one exactly the same as if i got one now?

Is it possible that my PC has no graphics card? My kids want to play Sims 2 but graphics seem to be an issue. If I add a graphics card how do I decide which one I need (not looking to spend loads as only for Sims.

I just bought a new 19" Envision Widescreen LCD Monitor for my computer. When I first used it, it told me for the best quality resolution I should set the resolution to 1440x900. When I went into the settings on my desktop, the highest option I had was 1360x768. How would I go about getting the 1440x900? Do I need to download a driver or something?

My friends monitor does not work on his laptop (i think because the video card is fried [since an alternate monitor does not work either]), but his computer boots up fine. Is there a way you can start up the computer, get to DOS, then type a command to send a folder('My Documents') to an external hard drive.

I would greatly appreciate any help on this matter.

Hi,
I tried the monitor on another PC and it works correctly VGA and DVI
connections.
I tried what you said but, without memory the PC doesn't start and I hear
long beep and two shorts beeps continuously.
So I tried to install just one memory bank.
In the first and second slot the pc doesn't start, in the third and fourth
the pc start ...
So I connect DVD and HD to try it ...
When I start the pc I received messagge "overclocking failed press F1 to
enter to setup or press F2 to load default parameters".
Press F2 Windowx XP start up and I started CPU-ID.
You can see the result in the image ...
The motherboard work ad 100 mhz and not at 200 ... so CPU 1300 until 2600.
I tried to modify BIOS parameters without result, every time I restart the
PC I received the error "overclocking ...".

If you have suggestions ...

hello im new to laptops..

i just wanted to buy a laptop that i can get online with. nothing else.i already have desktop compter i have verizon dsl..but i found this laptop on sale at bestbuy for 399.99 its a toshiba satellite with intel celeron . processor 520..
it says it has 512mb..1.6ghz processor..80gb hard drive and windows vista home basic preloaded
im new to laptops and i just want to know if the computer will be fast..all i would install on it is norton antivirus ..i just want to know if the computer is okay ..i just want something i can get on the internet with thats it...

one more thing i called verizon they said i would need a new modem with routing... but .with my laptop would i need a wireless card too.....or can i just buy a wireless card and get online..

with this computer it said i can surf the web in wi-fi hotspots does that mean i can get right online

im sorry for all the questions i just never had a laptop before'

currently i have 640 mb of memory, I was wondering if i can take out the 128 stick that i have and add another 512. This would mean i would have two 512. Can i do that or is that too much memory? Right now i have a webcam that keeps crashing my computer and a memory problem is showing up.
