I think my screen's gone dull. I can still read pretty well, but the white background on the screen doesn't look real bright. It looks like the screen is at a bad angle and I've tried every possible angle. HELP!! Thanks!!

With sociallising network Bebo deciding to combat 'spamming', they also decided to start spamming themselves by adding unwanted friends and promotions, of which they call KateModern.

What the heck do us Beboers do? My page has a bebo report link to report KateModern, (if anyones interested, email me and I'll pass you the link) but with the Bebo bosses playing a part in this, you cant win.

I'm usually on msn when on the internet. I have plenty of pop up guards, spywear and anti virus programs. For the last two weeks I've been getting a pop up with an HP registration form. No matter what I do including don't remind me it keeps coming back. I will come home anbd there will be 20 of those pop ups there so I have to go through the process 20 times. It is wearing on me fast. Can anyone help me?????

I used to play World of Warcraft with a Geforce 6800 (128MB). I played with high Video settings, and I got a maximum 35fps average was 20fps.. Now I play with a Geforce 7300 GT (512MB), and I still have the same amount of fps. It isn't a big concern for me, but I'd like to know how to get my Video Card running at its fastest speed.

I purchaed a new KDS LCD display and I cannot get this thing to go into standby (orange) mode. I have triple checked the BIOS settings and have DPMS support enabled. I have also checked the Power Management Options in XP and have the screensaver set to come on in 2 minutes as the "blank screen" and the Shut Off Monitor to come on in 15 minutes. The screensaver works, but 13 minutes later, no standby!! Im at a loss, an I own my own computer repair business, LoL.
I have the Sapphire x1800XT PCI express video card and the standby did work with my Viewsonic CRT monitor. Also the newest ATI 7.7 Catalyst drivers Help!!!

I am considering upgrading my laptop (Vista o/s) from 1MB of memory to 2MB of memory. Will I be able to tell a drastic change in my computer's speed? I can tell right now that it isn't as fast as it could be, but it's not exactly slow either. What do you think I should do? It was very fast before I put Vista on here.

I have a Packard Bell EasyNote SW51 that I bought in March of this year.
Thus far I have had no problems with it (despite running on Vista) however now, it won't charge properly. It won't hold charge as long as it used to, and when it is plugged it it only charges about 1% every 2 minutes. The only times it charges semi-properly is when it is turned off and charging.

When I tried to register my Laptop on the Packard Bell website for assistance, I was told my serial no. is invalid (The no. is the same on the box it came in, plus the laptop casing....) So I need help from you guys. Both to figure out my battery problem, plus to work out why my serial no isn't recognised....

Orange broadband customer support, yes I know it a contradiction, Orange Broadband and customer support (bunch of idiots). Does anyone have their e-mail address, as I need to contact them urgenty, as I've tried by phone loads of times at 7p a minute and get more sense out of my dogs ****.

I installed a 30 day trial version of Windows XP service pack 1 and updated it to service pack 2 by downloading the service pack and running it. Now my computer won’t boot. Not in safe mode. Not in any mode. I tried last know good configuration….I tried everything. Then in the end I tried to do a “windows recovery” using the same cd I did the installation with and I get a blue screen error.

I have some data on the C drive so I don’t want to format / re-install Windows and loose my data. Should I run a built in service pack 2 Windows XP cd and see if I can recover? What should I do? 10 points for the answer that works. Don’t bother answering if you don’t know what to do.

overheated the insides. For a while it wouldn't charge and i could only use it when the charger was plugged into my laptop. Obviously it didn't like that and started smoking. All of my photo's and word docs are on there and i want to get them of and put them onto my new laptop. There is no battery charge left on my old laptop so i can't even start it up. Is there a way of taking the hard drive out and transferring all my stuff. I heard someone say something called ghosting but i don't know what that is?? Also if there is a way for me to do it can anyone tell me where i can get the equipment from?? Thanks for the comments :)
