I have an IBM thinkpad (HSERLT123) and an old monitor that i cannot find at the moment and I want to hook it up for a larger screen. How do i hook it up?

Attach the blue plug on the monitor up to the VGA connector on the side or back of the Thinkpad. Then press Fn + F7 to cycle though the basic display options.

Or use Presentation Director to set up a profile for when you have the monitor attached.

There should be a port on the back of the laptop that's just like the port on the back of a computer you use to connect the monitor. If your laptop doesn't have a port like that, (most of them do) you won't be able to use an external monitor.
