Nope that is how they did it.
the creators when finishing the project's testing, finding out it worked, yelled, YahoooooO!!!!!!!!!! on a notice email.

It started because Jerry Yang and David Filo (the founders) liked the word and its meaning. Jonathan Swift made up the word in Gulliver's Travels: "rude, unsophisticated, uncouth."
