If your monitor supports multiple inputs, and those inputs are compatible with your PC and your X-Box at the same time.
Or you could get a KMV switch and connect both sources to the one input (via the switch)

Most computer monitors only have one input. If you want to use it just for your xbox, than you could but you would need a dvi cable for the xbox which costs about 20usd. Older monitors will not show anything, only newer lcd ones will be effectiv.e Also, hooking it up to your monitor will not produce any sound, you will need to plug in the yellow and red wires to an alternate audio device, I doubt you will be able to do so since the wire is not that long.

Yes, but you'd need two things: an adapter that lets you hook up the Xbox to a computer monitor, and an A-B video switchbox to switch the video connection between the Xbox and the PC.

It would probably be cheaper to just buy a used TV for your Xbox.

why, yes, actually. unless you have a crappy monitor that can only take one set of red, white, and yellow cables, simply plug them both in, and chang the Input to switch them. or, they prpbably have a cord that plugs into one set, and has two sets on the end, they have those for about everything.
