About 12 days ago my computer messed up and it kept saying that it has limited or no connectivity. This was after i installed McAfee antivirus so I thought uninstalling the antivirus would work but it didn't. So after that i took it to best buy and they said it'll cost me 140 dollars so i gave it to em and thought they would fix it. They said it takes 7-10 days and im really bored at home without my computer for 12 days. What should i do? Call best buy and yell at them for taking so long? Just need some thoughts of other people please.

I currently have a compac processor model# 5304, running windows 98 which limits my internet explore usage. I was given a more powerful processor with more modernized programs. However, it was used in a business and had an individuals password that is blocking me from getting into it. Any suggestions as how to bypass the password entry ?

When i go to uninstall, it says that that it is preparing to install and i let it sit. After about ten minuites it says that a patch can not be found please locate or ask software provider or somehing like that. I put in the cd, and it opens but does not run. Any suggestions?

My pc(XP Prof.) is behind a netgear WGT624 router. The pc's IP is Nat'ed. The vpn client I'm using is Check Point vpn-1 Secure Client. I know for sure it's the router blocking but don't where to allow it. When I connect my pc directly to the DSL modem, it works perfectly.
I'm not sure what all these IPSec, PPTP, etc means. Can someone help?

I have a Compaq Presario SR1030NX. It if a few years old. I need a new power supply (mine is only 250W) to run a video card that required 300W+. The video card is a Nvidia GeForce N6600 its AGP. So what I really want to know is what to look for in a power supply, Will anything fit in my case? are all power supplies the same shape/size? after talking with compaq they say I have a Micro ATX mid-size tower. Will any ATX power supply fit?

Also Compaq says I shouldnt get anything over 350W becuase it could send to much power to something and damage something. I dont know if that is a lie to make me buy something, I dont see why I cant get 400W+

I have a Netgear wireless router with the blue lights circling on the top. Usually there's just one or two lights constant (we have one computer using the wireless connection), but at times there are three constant lights. My computer is really slow too. I just bought a new lap top, and it has a wireless card that can find nearby networks. My cousin's lap top can find a really good connection with a 5 bar. But when I try to connect to a network, its [says cannot find a network], but in my cousin's computer it has a huge list of connections. Do I have to register or something. Also I live nearby a unsecrured internet access, and I would really like to use that unsecrured internet, can someone please help me clearly and easly.

My mom will getting it this week. Its the slower version but she's on Horrible dial up that is super slooooooooooow. its has to be a little better. I liked it for the time i had it(faster version). Tech support was never a problem either for me. It was fast and ready to go.
