My pc(XP Prof.) is behind a netgear WGT624 router. The pc's IP is Nat'ed. The vpn client I'm using is Check Point vpn-1 Secure Client. I know for sure it's the router blocking but don't where to allow it. When I connect my pc directly to the DSL modem, it works perfectly.
I'm not sure what all these IPSec, PPTP, etc means. Can someone help?

What kind of modem do you have? That can make all the difference, because some modems also have NAT capability; if yours does, then you have to bridge the modem before you can successfully connect through a router, as well.

What port is being used for your VPN? Typically it's 1723 (PPTP) but your Check Point VPN software may be using a non-standard port.
You need to forward the VPN port (again usually 1723/PPTP) from the router to the IP address of your XP box.

I'm with azred on this one. Also make sure you allow IPSEC passthrough on your router.

We recommend using http://www.vpnpower.net to unblock web sites. I am using their services for more than 3 years without having problems.
