My son and my self are going through a router which my Dads Pc is the main PC. I am wired and my son is wireless.I tried both PC's (Mine & my sons) to be both wired with the same result of my sons pc lags while playing a game and I either download or just change pages.His games work fine when I'm not using my pc. I guess my question is, short of getting a seperate Dsl account, is there anything I can do to eliminate the lag problem and keep peace between my son and myself? Thanks

Ok, so I have a document that I REALLY need to read, but I don't have word 2007 and that's the program it uses.
Does anyone know how to view this without actaully having to buy word 2007?
Or can I forward the document to someone and you can email it back to me in a different format??

I have norton antivirus 2006 on my windows xp and for some odd reason, when i click on the icon on the bottom right of the screen, norton antivirus opens up but it doesnt show the middle of it, it just shows the top bar and the border of it, the middle shows my desktop behind it, and it also requires control alt delete to close, bec/ clicking 'x' doesnt work. Can anyone tell me whats wrong and how to fix this, i can not see the status of my computer or run a system scan. P.S. i DO have over 100 days of subscription left, so thats not the problem.

I'm a little confused on my programming design homework. The problem states:

An elementay school contains 30 classrooms numbered 1 through 30. Each classroom can contain any number of students up to 35. Each student takes an achievement test at the end of the school year and receives a score from 1 through 100. One record is created for each student in the school; each record contains a student ID, classroom number, and score on the achievement test. Design the logic for a program that lists the total points scored for each of the 30 classroom groups.

I'm wondering, will there be three different arrays? One for the classrooms, one for the students, and one for the scores? Any tips on how to write the pseudocode would be very helpful and very much appreciated.

How do i clean it up? bc i KNOW i havent used nearly that much space.

I have previously reinstalled windows xp, so could it not have deleted the other partitions? And they are building up? I noticed this last time when i reinstalled, that it said i had 40 gigs used. But i hadnt even put anything on it yet.

I have no viruses, and i have deleted as much as i can from my hard drive. I am currently defragging, and i have erased my system restore backup files.

AND I STILL HAVE 56 GIGS USED!!!

Is there something i am missing? How can i delete the previous windows installs IF that is the problem?

im thinking of getting a dv9000t i absolutely luv everything about it, including it's price as well.

one thing that bothers me is it's design. its design looks really weak and cheap. i am worried that if i drop it, it would break. and i am going to use it for about 6 years. can someone tell me if an HP dv9000t is strong enough to take on my beating?

I have to watch these DVD's for work, but I don't have a DVD player. Someone loaned me theirs, but I can not hook it up to my TV without an adapter and it is the middle of the night and the stores are closed. Can you hook up a regular DVD player to a computer and watch it that way? I don't want to ruin my computer or this person's DVD player either. What should I do? I only have a CD player on my laptop.

I was given a to find out the password since my friend forgot it, and needs to acess files on the computer. The password isn't for the Windows 98, but to just boot the OS. I can't find a program to figure this out, so if you guys suggest a program, please give many details about how to run this program.

This is really weird. For the past year I have run DVDs in the DVD-ROM drive of my computer without incident. When I put a Chicken Little DVD in there tonight (6/4/07), the computer didn't recognize the disk, so I took it out of the drive and repositioned it. On the next attempt of running it, the DVD broke in half and made me jump out of my seat. I took the two broken pieces out and noticed that a small piece was missing. The missing section is approximately an inch long and 1/8 of an inch wide. I am afraid to run the disk drive because that missing piece is still in there. What do you suggest that I do now?

I know that Core 2 does not rely solely on clock speed, but is there any way to find out what pentium d clock speed a 2.4 ghz core 2 duo will be equivalent to?
